India has given us many various interesting teachings over the time and perhaps by balancing out our chakras we can create a healthier lifestyle that promotes acceptance amongst our crazy specie. Vedic sages have believed this for hundreds of years and surely there has to be some truth in it. Where there is smoke there is fire and all that. So, let’s explore the third chakra called the Solar Plexus or Manipura.

What Does It Do?

The third chakra rules the mental portion of our consciousness and governs thinking, both physic and intellectual, and the power, control and/or freedom that is gained by our minds. This chakra is the “power chakra” It governs our sense of self, the power that we have within and over our destinies, the power that we have over others, and the power that others have over us.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is also the centre from which the Solar Circuit is operated. The Solar Circuit, based in the Solar Chakra, is the energy system, which keeps the body’s basic functions going. The Solar Circuit is fuelled by inexhaustible energy of the soul and runs automatically like breathing. We don’t have to do anything to get or keep the Solar Circuit going, but we can inject extra energy into it, usually through the Heart Chakra.

Location Of The Solar Plexus

In humans it is widely accepted for the new scholar that the chakra is located at the navel. The exact location of this chakra is however at the lumber point, in the vertebral column near lumbar vertebra IV. In plain English, it is between the Navel and the Sternum Bone. The activation point in the subtle body for this Chakra lies in the public are. This could possibly be why the actual location is often misinterpreted.

Organs That Represent The Chakra

The sense of sight is connected to this Chakra. Sight with the physical eyes on the physical plane. Furthermore, this Chakra is located at the hub of your abdomen and is therefore in control of all the organs in the abdomen. Lower back, abdomen, digestive system, stomach, liver, spleen, gall bladder, and autonomic nervous system.

The endocrine gland for the third chakra is the pancreas. The pancreas plays an important part in the digestion of food. The pancreas secretes the hormone insulin, which regulates the level of blood sugar in the system and metabolism needed for digesting carbohydrates. Enzymes that are secreted by the pancreas are important for the balance of fats and proteins.

The Wisdom Of India

The third solar plexus chakra rules the animal kingdom of which humanity is said to be at the top of the hierarchy. This determination is made by the size of our cortex and our supposed ability to control our destiny, so remember this when you play the Bingo Canada offers. The third chakra is the chakra that deals with both inter- and intra- species struggle for power and dominance. The ability to communicate our thoughts and feelings through speech has always been an important factor in that struggle.
