One thing you want to do is boost your online presence by getting on Google Maps. But how do you go about doing that?

Using Google My Business to Boost Online Presence

You know how much money you spend on marketing? Using Google’s My Business tools can help you boost your presence on the web and allow you to communicate with customers and potential customers. Sign Up and Claim Your Business

The first step is to sign up using your business email. You will need to have a Google email so create a new one if your business emails isn’t with Gmail.

If your business already has a My Business profile, you can claim it as your business. If not, you can sign up for a new My Business account.

Fill Out the Information

The next step is to get into the My Business account and fill out the information. It asks things like your name, address, working hours, best contact number, email address, and industry type.

The more you fill out, the better your visibility to the potential customers. You can even add pictures to your profile for visual branding.

Business Account Verification

After filling out all the information Google asks for, you’re ready to get your account verified. You can call, email, or use the Google console to verify the account with ease.

The console is the easiest if you already verified a business. But, if you’re using the phone or email methods, you’ll need to get the verification code to enter into your My Business account.

Update Often

Once you’re verified, don’t sit on your laurels and let information go out of date. Make sure to update your information as soon as possible so you’re not misleading potential customers.
