You need to obtain every rank 4 legendary Azerite essence for one spec, sounds simple, right? Well, not so much. Rank 4’s are purely cosmetic, but they only come from completing the hardest content in the game. While many players breeze through getting ranks 1 to 3, getting even one rank 4 can be a huge deal. But for this achievement, you need every rank 4 Essence in the game! Here’s a breakdown of the achievement:
- Level your Neck to level 70 and complete the questline.
- Complete every Mythic+ dungeon at level 15 and spend 800 Titan Residiuum.
- Raiding – Kill Mythic Azshara to get the rank 4 Essences. You will be competing with other players to get this essence since only a limited number of rank 4 Essences will drop.
- PvP Essence – Get 100,000 honor. For rank 3 you only need 30,000 honor, so it goes to show how much of a step-up rank 4 is!
- Mechagon and Nazjatar Rep at rank 4 – This one is a grind! You need to get Exalted reputation with Mechagon and Nazjatar, and then get an additional 10,000 rep so you can trade in this rep for a Paragon Cache. Inside the Cache, you have a chance of getting your rank 4 Essence. Let’s hope you get lucky early on!
- Warmode Essence – To get to rank 4, you first need to complete the quests and achievements for ranks 1-3 and then complete the “Supplying the Assassins” Achievement to earn rank 4.
- Mechagon – Complete ranks 1 to 3 and then complete hardmode Mechagon with 0 deaths.
- Nazjatar Questing – To get rank 4, you need to get all three bodyguards to level 30.
- Rated PvP – Get Elite Rank and claim your weekly PvP chest. This will also grant you a unique PvP talent that can also be used in PvE.
- Island Expeditions – To get rank 4 you need to get the rare island treasure map reward and hope that it’s a rank 4 drop!

- Be ready for PvP – For the Warmode Rank 4 Essence, you will need to loot 25 airdrops in Nazjatar and kill 10 enemy faction players. This means you need to be prepared for PvP, ensuring you’re well geared and can tip the fight in your favor.
