All eyes will be on Victor Osimhen when Nigeria face Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers’ double-header ties.

Victor Osimhen is currently one of the best footballers in the world right now based on form as he scores lot of goals with ease.

The 24-year-old striker keeps breaking records and setting new ones every time he gets on the field for his Italian club Napoli.

In February, he became the first Napoli FC player to score in eight straight games. Victor also became just the second youngest player in the history of the Italian football league to score in eight consecutive games.

Two weeks ago, he set a new record after helping Napoli secure an aggregate 5-0 win over Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 games.

Victor Osimhen scored a goal in Napoli’s 2-0 win against Frankfurt in the first leg played in Germany and also scored two goals in their 3-0 win in the second leg played in Italy.

Hence, making him the first ever Napoli FC player to score in both legs of a UEFA Champions League knockout stage.

Over the weekend after scoring his 21st Serie A goal of the season, he became Africa’s joint-top scorer in a single season in the Italian Serie A alongside Samuel Eto’o.

He also broke Simy Nwankwo’s record for most goals by a Nigerian player in a single Serie A season.

Victor Osimhen is the most talked about footballer in the world right now, he has been linked with some of the top football clubs in the world.

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be seriously looking into signing him this summer.

His performance has earned him praise from his idol Didier Drogba, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, iLOT Bet, and the great Jose Mourinho.

In fact, he his currently the most valued footballer in the Italian Serie A according to the transfer market.

Victor Osimhen missed out on Super Eagles’ last game which was a friendly match against Portugal through injuries.

But the double-header against Guinea-Bissau will give him a chance to make Nigeria Sports lovers proud as they will be counting on him to lead the country past the West African neighbours.

Victor Osimhen who is the top scorer of the AFCON 2023 qualifiers with five goals will have the chance to add to his tally when Nigeria play Guinea-Bissau.

Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau will play in a doubleheader, the first leg will be played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday, March 24 by 5 pm Nigerian time, while the second leg will be played in Guinea-Bissau on Monday, 27th March 2023.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria currently sit atop of their qualifying group with six points from two games.
