Lobuche peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. The peak is located in the Khumbu region which is at a height of 6,119 meters above sea level and it is situated in Nepal Himalaya. This mountain has two routes namely Northern Route and Southern Route. The peak was first climbed by George Mallory and Guy Bullock on June 6, 1922. They climbed from the Rongbuk Glacier on the north side, which is now a popular route known as ‘North Col’.

The southern route starts from Lukla which is a small village located at an altitude of 9,334 feet above sea level. It takes about 8-9 days to reach Lobuche Base Camp from Lukla. The northern route starts from Phakding which is another village located at an altitude of 10,000 feet above sea level. It takes about 5-6 days to reach Lobuche Base Camp from Phakding.

The climbing time for both routes vary according to the weather conditions during the season but it usually takes around 20-25 days for any climber to summit this mountain successfully if he/she has prior mountaineering experience or some basic mountaineering skills. Both these routes are considered to be easier ones due to their length and steepness. The climb give you an amazing view of Mt Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7864m), Ama Dablam (6812m). SummitClimb team will guide you in every obstacle you face during the climb. SummitClimb team had led many successful expeditions of Everest, Manaslu, Ama Dablam, K2, Aconcagua, Elbrus, Lhotse and many more.

It is important for climbers to be well acclimatized before attempting Lobuche Peak because of its altitude. The average time required for this trip is around 20-25 days but can vary depending on fitness level and weather conditions during that time frame as well as how long each person takes to climb up/down each day while ascending/descending along steep terrain through snow-covered rocks.
