5 Signs of a Bad Employer

Looking for a new job is a difficult and exciting undertaking, especially if it drags on. When hundreds of resumes have been sent out, and dozens of interviews have been passed, it’s still not worth accepting the first job that comes across. There are clear signs of a bad employer to be aware of if you are looking for Mulesoft developer jobs and beyond.

1. Staff turnover

If you’ve been looking for a job for a while, you’ve probably noticed that jobs in some companies remain open all the time or reappear from time to time. This indicates that the company has problems with personnel. For one reason or another, people leave this place or they are fired. Both are bad: either working conditions are bad, wages are low, or employers want too much from their subordinates.

2. Disrespect for employees

If you are looking for a job, do not be lazy to read reviews about the company from its current and former employees. And if you have already been invited for an interview, you must do it. People’s opinions may be different, because former employees who were fired may write a lie out of resentment. But the general idea can be caught.

If reviews often write that the company has no respect for employees or their professional qualities and there is no significance for them as specialists, we strongly advise against hoping that something will change for you. In a company with a low level of corporate culture, as a rule, there is no friendly team, each employee is ready to trip the other. If you are going to work remotely, this is likely to be of little interest to you, but it is still worth considering this attitude.

3. Poor working conditions

Everyone looking for ServiceNow developer jobs would like to work in an office with a luxurious view from the window, a fully equipped kitchen for employees, and air conditioning in every office. But alas, it doesn’t work for everyone. But that doesn’t mean you have to agree to work in a basement with no windows and mold on the walls. It will not be exaggerated, but if there is no normal repair in the company’s offices, the management does not consider it necessary to provide all workplaces in the office with sufficient lighting, and there is no elementary refrigerator and electric kettle in the kitchen, then this is a reason to think. If a company saves on such things, then it does not think about the comfort of its employees.

4. There are only managers in the company

You came to an interview, and 4 people are talking to you, they all introduce themselves as your bosses. At the same time, you know that only 10 people work in a company or a branch of a company. This means that there will be fewer subordinates than management. This state of affairs has not yet led a single company to success, and its employees to rapid career growth. In addition, such employers are stingy with money.

5. A company that is too broad

You have submitted a resume for a very specific vacancy, that is, you assume that the company is engaged in a certain type of activity, for example, website development. But during the interview, you will find out that the company organizes children’s holidays in parallel, conducts English language courses, etc. Of course, some companies manage to effectively combine several different activities. But there are very few of them. If the company is small, then you definitely won’t know what you have to do: write code or act as an animator.

Even if the dream job is not found in any way, you should not agree to the offers of dubious employers. Such work will not bring you pleasure, money, or career growth.
