A2 cow ghee is a superfood nutritional powerhouse with numerous health benefits. It is obtained from the milk of desi cows like Sahiwal and Gir and is high in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins. Using this ancient Ayurvedic food in your everyday meal plan boosts your digestion and improves immunity and overall well-being. Here are some ways to add A2 ghee for a healthier lifestyle.

Ghee Roasted Vegetables

This is a simple and delicious way to add ghee to your everyday meals. It requires very few ingredients, such as ghee and 2-3 vegetables of choice.

  • Chop vegetables of your choice into cubes.
  • Melt ghee in a pan, toss the chopped veggies and toss until coated.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Spread the tossed veggies on a baking tray.
  • Season with salt, pepper, chaat masala, or any other seasoning.
  • Roast for about 30 minutes or until it is crispy but tender.
  • Serve as a snack or a side dish.

Lentil Soup

Soup is a soul food that is healthy and hearty. Ingredients needed for this soup are lentils, onions, carrots, and ghee.

  • Melt ghee in a pan on medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions, carrot and garlic.
  • Saute till the onion turns golden brown and the carrot is soft.
  • Add turmeric, coriander and cumin powder and cook until the raw smell goes.
  • Wash and add lentils along with vegetable broth. Bring them to a boil.
  • Reduce the flame and allow it to simmer until the lentils become tender.
  • Garnish with salt, pepper, and seasonings of choice.
  • Chop fresh cilantro and add it to the soup before serving. You can also dice bread slices, toast them using ghee, and add them to the soup before serving this soulful lentil soup.

Ghee Energy Balls

Rolled oats energy balls are a power-packed finger food made from ingredients such as rolled oats, honey, almond butter, dark chocolate chips, dried cranberries, ghee, and chia seeds.

  • Combine melted ghee, rolled oats, almond butter, honey, chia seeds, dried cranberries and dark chocolate chips in a mixing bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients until they are incorporated evenly.
  • Now, roll this mixture into small balls.
  • Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment sheet.
  • Keep these balls in a cool place or a refrigerator for 30 minutes or until they firm up.
  • Store in airtight boxes in a refrigerator for more than a week.

Ghee Golden Milk

This is a traditional drink that is consumed in Indian homes before bedtime. To make golden milk, all you need is a glass of milk and a few commonly found kitchen ingredients like turmeric, black pepper powder and cinnamon. To make this milk:

  • Boil milk over medium heat in a saucepan.
  • Add A2 ghee, cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper.
  • Gently simmer the mixture to incorporate all the ingredients and remove from heat.
  • If desired, you can sweeten this liquid using honey or jaggery.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy it warm.
