Technology has helped us with social interaction, such as when messaging people online, calling them with FaceTime, chatting on Discord, and other platforms. Our dogs also need socialization, which can help with their mental health and behavior, but they don’t have access to technology. Take your dog outside the next time you stroll around your condo gardens or parks near Midtown Bay. Seeing your dog having fun is not only a good sight. Having a social pet brings benefits to both your dog and you as a pet parent.

Better manners

When interacting with other dogs and playing with them, a dog learns dog language. They discover how dogs communicate with one another, how they show affection, and other social cues, which are important for your furbabies’ development in terms of behavior and how they interact with other animals in public.

They get exercise

Dog-on-dog interaction and play provide a different type of robust exercise that we humans can’t achieve with our dogs when we play with them at home. It can calm your pet down, especially when they are getting restless. This gives them the best exercise they can get, supplying physical and mental stimulation, and helping them stay active so that they can live a long, happy life.

Eliminates destructive habits

If you are stressing that your dog is too destructive, it might be time to get them out and socialize with other pets. They have a lot of repressed energy, so they chew, bite, or scratch on furniture. Outdoor time can also reduce separation anxiety that causes these behaviors. This can tire them out and help them calm down, such that they won’t think of chewing or digging through anything at home. Bringing them out to meet other dogs to play with can help them release this energy and have fun by chasing, playing tug, and wrestling with each other.
