Since we were children we are born with a favorite team, it is inevitable. Either out of family tradition, or out of sympathy for that player or that shirt, because it’s the only team in the city, out of a sense of belonging, because it’s the same team as the girl I like… In short, reasons to become a fan of a team there are galore.

And of course the numbers enthusiasts couldn’t be missing who got there, counting one by one (more or less), how many supporters there are for Juventus, Milan, Napoli, and so on. Today, we at betting guides will take you to find out which are the most popular teams and the numbers behind this really interesting statistic.

How many fans are there in Italy?

The data, relating only to Serie A teams for the 2021/22 season, says 24 million and 562 thousand fans in total. The average per club is around 1 million and 228 thousand, but we will see that there are teams far above and just as many far below. A curiosity: 67% of the total is made up of fans of three teams. Can you guess which ones?

Juventus

Juventus excels with 8 million and 56 thousand supporters. Practically a third of all Serie A fans as read in as read in migliori casino non aams site. It is no wonder that the Bianconeri boast the largest number of supporters. The reasons? Certainly for the great champions who have worn his shirt (see Baggio, Del Piero, etc.), for the numerous victories in the league, because you know, it’s nice to support a winning team, but also for the name: Juventus, which it is not linked to a specific city, but indicates a generic “youth” (from the Latin iuventūs).

Milan

Milan follows with 4 million and 167 thousand fans. The Rossoneri boast a respectable palmares, above all for the successes obtained abroad in the past. It is above all the golden times of Van Basten, Gullit and Rijkaard that have brought a large chunk of fans who still persist.

Inter

Then we find Inter on the last step of the podium, with around 3.9 million. Here too it is not surprising. The successes of crazy Inter and the great strikers, who fomented the Milanese boys and beyond, of the caliber of Ronaldo and Come in the 2000s; Eto’o and Milito in the times of the treble in 2010; and of Lukaku and Lautaro Martínez in the last 2020 championship.
