Recycling old objects and giving them new purpose is a good way to support eco-friendly living. This can also reduce the things that are going to the landfill, allowing you to contribute against climate change. Here are some common household items that can be easily recycled.

Toothbrush

You can recycle your used toothbrush as a tool to clean places that are hard to reach, such as small vents, filters, nooks and crannies of your home. It can also be used to clean the sink in your condo kitchen and bath at Hudson Place Residences as it can fit around faucets and tile gaps compared to a sponge.

Old towel

A towel is usually replaced every 1-5 years before you see any tear and get that scratchy feeling. A simple fix is to give the towel to your pet so that they have some sort of cushioning in their dog cage. Use it as a mat or convert old towels into rags in your home to clean up wet spots.

Cardboard Boxes

You usually get cardboard boxes from deliveries and groceries and these can pile up easily, and putting them in the trash is potentially a waste. You can use them as building material for your DIY projects like creating a cardboard shoe rack for added functionality. You can create storage for other things in your home with cardboard too as long as it is not too heavy. Be reminded that cardboard does not mix well with water, so it is advised to not let any water near this as it will start to fall apart or have an unpleasant smell.

Bottles

Soda bottles, plastic water bottles, you name them. Throwing them away could harm the environment as plastic takes a long time to decompose. Turning them into something new could help minimize waste and harm that they may cause. You can turn them into a plastic pot to hold small plants or turn them into your personal DIY project to hold screws and coins.
